Jordan Dechambre-Childers has been working in the communications and fashion fields in Milwaukee since 2000. In conjunction with her work as a magazine editor, Jordan travels to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City each year to keep abreast of the latest trends. Jordan and friend and stylist Bjorn Nasett write a daily column for OnMilwaukee.com during Fashion Week, highlighting the day's best shows.
Jordan is a co-chairperson for Symphony Style, a fundraiser for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and the only couture runway show in Milwaukee. Past designers have included Vera Wang, Carolina Herrera, Bill Blass and Monique Lhuillier. She is also on the executive committee and co-host of RunUp to the Runway, a sold-out event in 2008, which features a runway show from local boutiques, local designers and Mount Mary College fashion design students. In July, she will again co-host ReFashion for Life, a charity fashion show combining the latest in late summer
and fall fashion in conjunction with fashionable products for the home.
Jordan has written for Ladies’ Home Journal, M: Milwaukee's Lifestyle Magazine, Wisconsin Bride and Milwaukee Home and Fine Living magazines, as well as OnMilwaukee.com and SharpMan.com. Jordan is also a regular contributor to Fox 6 WakeUp News. She won Milwaukee Press Club awards in 2005, 2006 and 2008.
